Τριόπετρα - Triopetra

Η Τριόπετρα είναι μια παραθαλάσσια περιοχή στο νότιο Ρέθυμνο, που βρέχεται από το Λυβικό πέλαγος. Ονομάζεται έτσι καθώς μέσα στη θάλασσα είναι ευδιάκριτα τρία κομμάτια βράχου που συνθέτουν το πανέμορφο τοπίο της.

Triopetra is a coastal area which is located in the southern Rethymno, in Crete.
It is in Lybic sea and it is named after the three pieces of rock that are immersed in the deepest points of the sea and form the scenic landscape.

Μονή Αρκαδίου - Monί Arkadhίou

Η Μονή Αρκαδίου είναι μια ιστορική Μονή που βρίσκεται περίπου 23 χιλόμετρα ανατολικά του Ρεθύμνου.
    Αυτή η Μονή αποτελεί τόπο μεγαλης ιστορικής σημασίας καθώς αποτέλεσε το κομβικό σημείο συγκέντρωσης Κρητών επαναστατών για τη διαφυγή τους από τους Τούρκους με την ανατίναξη της πυριταποθήκης.
Το μνημείο απαριθμεί δεκάδες πειστήρια της εποχής εκείνης, από ανθρώπινα οστά μέχρι όπλα, εργαλεία, κείμενα και πίνακες.
Το Αρκάδι έχει χαρακτηριστεί από την UNESCO ως Ευρωπαϊκό Μνημείο Ελευθερίας.

The Arkadi Monastery is a historical Monastery that is located at about 23 km on the east of Rethymno in Crete.
This particular Monastery is of crucial historic importance as it happened to be a critical spot for the gathering of the Cretan rebel people during the Turkish rule in which they got and escaped from them by detonating the powder keg.
The monument lists dozens of evidence from the era, from human bones and skulls to weapons, machines, written texts and paintings.
Arkadi has been identified as a European Monument of Liberty by UNESCO.
